When I installed Windows Vista, one of the first minor irritants was that the power button in start menu would only put the computer to sleep. Quand j'ai installé Windows Vista, l'un des irritants première petite, c'est que le bouton d'alimentation dans le menu démarrer ne ferait que mettre l'ordinateur en veille. However, a simple tweak within Power Options (from Control Panel) can help you set the power button in start menu to shut down the computer. Toutefois, un tweak simple dans les Options d'alimentation (Panneau de configuration) peut vous aider à configurer le bouton d'alimentation dans le menu démarrer pour éteindre l'ordinateur.

Follow the easy steps below. Suivez les étapes ci-dessous.

  1. Go to Control Panel. Allez dans le Panneau de configuration.
  2. Open up Power Options, and click Change Plan Settings. Ouvrez Options d'alimentation, cliquez sur Paramètres du Plan sur les changements.
  3. Click Change advanced power settings. Cliquez sur Modifier les paramètres d'alimentation avancés. Once you do that, you would get a windows as shown below. Une fois que vous faites cela, vous obtiendrez une fenêtre comme illustré ci-dessous.

  4. Double click Power Buttons and Lid and edit Start menu power button Shut Down. Double-cliquez sur Boutons Power et couvercle et de modifier la puissance menu Démarrer bouton Arrêter.

With this, you would have got the tweak working. Avec ceci, vous auriez obtenu le travail tweak. At least for me personally, such minor changes bother me all the time I use the computer – hacks are the only way around.
