One of the biggest headaches with using a BitTorrent client with a router is port forwarding / lack of open ports / checking for open ports. Opening ports in a torrent client is more about troubleshooting router settings and configuration to get the port forwarding right. I use a Netgear router with my laptop, hence I will be using it for the steps in this tutorial. We need to find the port used by torrent client. Nous devons trouver le port utilisé par le client torrent. It is also a good idea to change it to something between 60000 and 65000 – many ISPs are known to throttle ports below that. In uTorrent, go to Options > Preferences. Dans uTorrent, allez dans Options> Préférences. In the left pane, click Connection. Dans le volet gauche, cliquez sur Connexion. Change the port and note the number down somewhere (to be used in configuration later). Changer le port et notez le numéro quelque part (pour être utilisé en configuration plus tard).

You are on your own in adding port forwarding – get the option/menu that says “add a port” with forwarding. Vous êtes vous-même en ajoutant la redirection de port - obtenir l'option / menu «ajouter un port» avec le transfert.
Ensure that you name it with a recognizable word and set it to be open for both TCP and UDP. Veiller à ce que vous nommez un mot reconnaissable et affectez-lui d'être ouverte à la fois pour TCP et UDP. Can you do this in a hotel or library with wireless internet? Pouvez-vous faire cela dans un hôtel ou une bibliothèque avec Internet sans fil? When I type ip adress in the address bar of my browser, it just says “page cannot be displayed”. Quand je adresse IP tapez dans la barre d'adresse de mon navigateur, il dit seulement "page cannot be displayed". I cannot login to the router. Je ne peux pas me connecter au routeur.
I'm afraid this method cannot be used in such places. Je crains que cette méthode ne peut pas être utilisé dans de tels endroits.
