Just a quick note to tell you all that I've finally managed to get my modem to work in Ubuntu Hardy Heron, and I'm alive and kicking on Linux now. I've wanted to use Linux for a long time now, but hesitated because my modem didn't work. Ich wollte auf Linux für eine lange Zeit jetzt nutzen, zögerte aber, weil mein Modem nicht funktioniert hat. same happened with me…when i was not able to switch to linux just because my utstar adsl modem does not work with linux…but now i have a netgear adsl modem…will be soon having linux on my machine Dasselbe geschah mit mir ... wenn ich nicht in der Lage, zu Linux wechseln, nur weil meine utstar DSL-Modem nicht mit Linux funktionieren ... aber jetzt habe ich einen Netgear DSL-Modem ... werden in Kürze unter Linux auf meinem Rechner

I've been contemplating dual booting with Ubuntu since sometime now but haven't been able to do it for the fact that I'm tied up with many things and ofcourse, procrastination. Ich habe Betrachtung Dual-Boot mit Ubuntu seit irgendwann jetzt aber noch nicht in der Lage, sie für die Tatsache, dass ich mit vielen Dingen und natürlich, Verschleppung gebunden bin zu tun.
But I will eventually install Ubuntu and hence I'll bookmark all your linux related posts which could come as a handy reference in future. Aber ich will schließlich Ubuntu zu installieren und damit werde ich alle Linux-bezogene Beiträge, die als ein praktisches Nachschlagewerk, in Zukunft kommen könnte Lesezeichen.
I too had installed Ubuntu few days back and also managed to configure TATA indicom on it. Auch ich hatte installiert Ubuntu paar Tage zurück und auch das Konfigurieren verwalteter Tata Indicom darauf. Its really cool working on it, but the support for applications need to be more, only then it can become more popular. Its really cool, daran zu arbeiten, aber die Unterstützung für Anwendungen müssen mehr sein, nur dann kann es werden immer beliebter. Robust security is one thing I liked on Ubuntu. Robuste Sicherheit ist eine Sache, die ich gern auf Ubuntu.
But I have to slightly disagree with you on hanged apps. Aber ich habe etwas mit Ihnen gehängt apps nicht zustimmen. I did have firefox getting hang many times on Ubuntu, not sure what was the real cause. Ich habe firefox haben immer viele Male auf Ubuntu, nicht sicher, was die eigentliche Ursache war hängen.

after breaking my head for configuring the display on Ubuntu Hardy, and multiple re-installation I came back to Windows again. nach dem Bruch meinem Kopf für die Konfiguration der Anzeige auf Ubuntu Hardy, und mehrere Re-Installation kam ich wieder zu Windows wieder.
