The default permalink structure of WordPress is very ugly, and is a pile of meaningless jumbo, like this – http://blogname.com/?p=xxx , where xxx is the number of post. It is obvious that it does not help the search rankings in anyway, as one of the most important values in SERPs is the keywords in URL. I do not want to drag this post endlessly, like many other SEO articles, but will get to the core of the matter immediately. From my experience I know that the URL does not count anymore for the search engines. Da minha experiência eu sei que a URL não conta mais para os motores de busca.

I think, by giving that Post ID number in the last part, he wants to attract News Portal site like Google News where it is required certain numerical figure in the URL. IMO, I prefer to use Year/ Month / Post Name and not the later. IMO, eu prefiro usar o Ano / Mês / Nome Cargo e não ao posterior. Just for a simple reason, it will let my users know the time line of my post. Apenas por uma simples razão, ele permitirá que os usuários saibam a minha linha do tempo da minha postagem. So it won't compromise on users search experience. Por isso, não irá comprometer os utilizadores a experiência de pesquisa. I don't want a user searching in for some latest stuff and land in a post which is out dated! Eu não quero que um usuário em busca de algumas últimas coisas e terra em um lugar que está fora datado!

And yes, Blogger is SEO friendly in that aspect. E sim, o Blogger é SEO amigável nesse aspecto. This theme is just the bare bones now, I have to add backrounds and a better colour scheme. @Benedict: It will not matter whether the reader knows the dates, as you and I(and a lot more others) write timeless content. @ Bento: Não importa se o leitor sabe as datas, como eu e você (e outros muito mais) escrever conteúdo atemporal. And timeless content stands better chance of good SERPs than news posts – so no concern about dates there. Conteúdo e intemporal representa uma melhor chance de SERPs boa notícia de mensagens - por isso não há preocupação com datas. As for user experience, most blog readers will not care to look at the URL(at least I don't!) I agree, post titles is best… but wordpress documentation seems to give a warning that it's not the best idea.
