Binny, a freelance LAMPP developer, is into day 3 of Plugin Week. He promises a plugin every day for seven days (excluding weekends), and has already launched 3 plugins.
The first three plugins are Eventr, Autofields and Pollin. Eventr enables WordPress to be used as an event management tool, Autofields will auto fill the excerpt and add an image custom field based on the what you entered into the post and Pollin is a WordPress polling plugin. Hit the links for more details and download of the plugins.
Plugin Week reminds me of the theme design challenge (one theme per day for 32 days) that Small Potato of WPDesigner did.
Plugin Week has unfortunately, received only limited attention. So, there are two things you can do: if you are a blogger, write a quick post about it informing of your readers. If you use social media (Twitter, Digg, StumbleUpon etc.), tweet it, Digg it or stumble it.
Thanks for the mention. Now that I know how hard it is to release a plugin a day I am wondering how small potato guy managed to do it for themes – that too for a whole month. Wow!
