Barack Obama and John McCain were presidential candidates in the recently concluded election in USA, and much has been discussed about the pros and cons of them.
The online world is pretty much sold out on Barack Obama, and believes he can bring (at least some) change. John McCain has been ridiculed by the youth and tech-oriented people for his total ignorance of technology (he admitted to not knowing how to check emails). Barack Obama, on the other hand, has hired a top team of online marketers for his online presence. They have used everything from social media (Stumble Upon, Digg etc.) to Twitter and gaming ads effectively.
Here is one more reason why Barack Obama beat John McCain to the White House (note that this is semi-serious, semi-humorous):

The above pictures are of McCain and Obama’s Twitter profile pages. Obama is active online, has much more Twitter friends, and has raised much more funds online than his opponents. His Twitter profile is updated regularly about his location and activities.
And here comes their Digg profiles:

On Digg, Obama has 91 submissions (of which 23 are popular), whereas McCain has 14 submissions (of which 0 are popular).

admittedly, obama does lead mccain in cyberspace by a long mile. in our site alone, we’re getting a lot of topics posted by Obama supporters and I can imagine DIGG has a lot of obama followers (reddit has more obama news too, and a lot of palin flak. you might want to check it out)
NO — The reason is that McCain has 3.305 followers, and Obama has 100,591
@Alan: That certainly could be the case, lol.
