The nofollow tag was introduced by Google as a means of combating spam. Nofollow tag infördes av Google som ett sätt att bekämpa spam. The theory goes like this – Google search bots do not credit any links with a rel=”nofollow” tag attached to them. Teorin går ut så här - Googles sökrobotar inte kredit utan några förbindelser med en rel = "nofollow" etikett dem. Google advised webmasters to nofollow all the unwanted, unrelated links so that Google could improve their searches, by eliminating any false links. Google rådde webbansvariga att nofollow alla oönskade, oberoende länkar så att Google skulle kunna förbättra sina sökningar genom att undanröja eventuella felaktiga länkar.
That is just the theory. Det är bara teori. In reality, spammers have taken it to a whole new level, by link-bombing comment fields of blogs , using automated bots and entering spam links in URL field of comments. The obvious solution is to link to source with a dofollow, but this is not just textbook application. A final thought – do not hesitate to use nofollow to link to blogs whom you are not familiar with, or has known only for a short time. Actually, I got the idea when I saw you nofollowing the link to a Google search page, and wanted to talk to you about it. Egentligen fick jag idén när jag såg dig nofollowing länken till Googles söksida, och ville prata med dig om det. Then I forgot it completely. Sen glömde jag det helt. Quite a useful post, but still I am not sure how do I recognize if a forum allows a dofollow or no follow link? Ganska bra inlägg, men jag är inte säker på hur jag igen om ett forum tillåter en dofollow eller ingen följ länken?
