Greasemonkey is a popular extension for Mozilla Firefox. It enables various extra functionality by installing small files containing special code. These files are called user scripts.
For example, some userscripts modify the design of specific websites (Facebook, Orkut, Google, GMail, Google Reader etc.). There are also userscripts to hid specific things in websites (hiding advertisements, for example).
To use Greasemonkey, download and install Mozilla Firefox. Firefox is a free, powerful web browser.

Then, download Greasemonkey (click “Add to Firefox” button in the page that you get after clicking the Greasemonkey link).
