Stumble Upon is a popular method of time wasting among the internet addicts – it allows you to discover random interesting web pages, neatly categorized and all. Stumble Upon is available as a toolbar for Firefox and Internet Explorer, but Opera users can install Opera Stumbler for most of the functionality of SU toolbar and users of Safari can use workarounds.
Clicking the Stumble, thumbs up/down buttons can be a big time waster for avid stumblers. Instead, you can save time by using the shortcuts provided by the toolbar – and become a keyboard warrior (if you haven’t done so already).
First, you have to enable shortcuts from Tools> Options> Shortcuts.

Once you check the box for enabling keyboard shortcuts, you can also tweak the shortcuts to your liking. My keyboard shortcuts are shown above: Alt + 1 for thumbs up, Alt + 2 for thumbs down, Alt + 3 for reviews and Alt + ~ for Stumble. I chose combinations with Alt key because I usually have my hand around Alt or Cntrl – you can change the preferences according to your habit.
Once you’re done tweaking shortcuts, hit Cntrl+ F11 to hide the toolbar. From now on, simply use the shortcuts for stumbling, and save a few seconds per stumble! (yes, it has been proved that keyboard shortcuts improve productivity, hence productivity gurus preach it).
