Well, why would you buy a cheap non-Macbook with worse hardware and production if you can afford a Macbook which is usually very long lasting and has great software, some people also love its design. I disagree with you as well. Es nepiekrītu ar jums tik labi. Ubuntu isn't made for only cheap Windows-based laptops. Ubuntu nav iesniegts tikai lēts Windows klēpjdatorus. It's as much royal as OSX or Vista and so there is no harm or stupidity in trying it out on a Macbook. Tas ir tik daudz royal kā OSX vai Vista, un tāpēc nav nodarīts kaitējums vai stulbums, mēģinot to ārā uz MacBook.

Nowhere in his comment does he mention that he was “unsatisfied with OS X”. Nekur viņa komentārus viņš norāda, ka viņš bija "neapmierināts ar OS X".
There is no rule which says Ubuntu cannot/should not be installed on a Mac. Nav noteikumu, kas saka Ubuntu aprunāt / nedrīkst uzstādīt uz Mac. 4. 4. Rosegarden/Ardour just didn't come close to GarageBand Rosegarden / liels karstums vienkārši nav pietuvojies GarageBand
On my desktop, I stick with Ubuntu. Par manu desktop, es stick ar Ubuntu.

I bought my macbook for two reasons Es nopirku manu MacBook divu iemeslu dēļ
1) It would run Linux 1) Būtu palaist Linux
2) With an educational discount I get it for just under the price of a standard laptop, but i do get a few bells and whistles (and of course the opportunity to use Mac OS on a machine less than 10 years old…) 2) Ar izglītības atlaides es varu saņemt to tikai ar cenu standarta portatīvo datoru, taču man iegūt daži zvani un svilpes (un, protams, iespēja izmantot Mac OS uz mašīnas ir mazāks par 10 gadiem ...)
Two weeks went by as I thoroughly enjoyed Mac OS (For that brief period I thought it was the absolute best OS out there – a true short-term mac fanboy.) Once reality set in again and I got annoyed that I couldn't change certain things and that non-mac os specific software needed X11 which makes things run slow and ugly I decided to stick ubuntu on it. Divas nedēļas ejot, kā es rūpīgi patika Mac OS (Šajā īsu periodu es domāju, ka tas bija absolūts labākais OS Out There - patiess īstermiņa mac fanboy.) Kad realitāte, kas no jauna un Man kaitina, ka es nevarēju mainīt dažas lietas, un ka nav mac os īpašu programmatūru, kas nepieciešama X11, kas padara lietas darbojas lēni un neglīts es izlēmu pieturēties Ubuntu par to. I whiped mac OS off (though I could've dual booted) and put ubuntu on and never looked back. Es whiped Mac OS off (lai gan es esam divi booted) un nodot Ubuntu uz un nekad paskatījās atpakaļ. Only thing to bear in mind is the new santa-rosa macbooks do have more issues and need ugly hacks (if you consider ndis-wrapper ugly) to make things work. Vienīgais, kas jāpatur prātā, ir jaunā santa-rosa macbooks darīt ir vairāk problēmu un nepieciešamību ugly hacks (ja jūs uzskatāt, NDIS, ietinamā neglīts), lai viss darbotos.

i bought macbook and i am running both osx and ubuntu 8.04 on it. es nopirku MacBook, un es esmu darbojas gan osx un Ubuntu 8,04 par to.
when you install ubuntu. Instalējot Ubuntu. somethings dosnt work. somethings dosnt darbu. b/c the mac cd have the bootcamp drivers for windows (is only that windows will not provide you so mac is giving it for free). b / c mac cd ir Bootcamp draiveri priekš Windows (ir tikai tas, ka Windows nevar nodrošināt jums tā mac dod par brīvu). but for ubuntu some of the drivers comes with it but some of them like wireless or sound drivers and the major thing, right click you have to install them manually. bet Ubuntu dažiem vadītājiem nāk ar to, bet dažas no tām, piemēram, bezvadu vai skaņas vadītājiem un galvenajiem lieta, ar peles labo klikšķi jums instalēt tos manuāli. just search online and you are able to do it. tikai meklēt internetā un jums ir iespēja to izdarīt.
my macbook is working fine. mans MacBook strādā labi. i love it. i love it. its worth it with osx and ubuntu both. tā vērts ar osx un Ubuntu abiem. thanks to open source users. pateicoties atvērtā koda lietotājiem.
