Opera introduced a few features that later became common to all browsers (for example tabs and mouse gestures). One such innovation has found its way into Firefox by means of an addon: Speed Dial.
Speed Dial enables you to set as the default tab, a page with a grid of shortcuts to websites you choose. To assign one website to Speed Dial, use the new “Set as Speed Dial” option in the bookmarks menu, or right click on the tab you want to add, and choose “Set as Speed Dial”. That option is also available in the contextual area menu. You can also enter URL of web pages directly after clicking a blank shortcut. The control panel of Speed Dial can be used to set number of shortcuts and size of grid, thumbnail options etc.
