Flickr is a wonderful place online for professional photographers, enthusiasts, bloggers looking for beautiful pictures for blog posts, or someone wanting to browse through scores of pictures. Among other features, Flickr includes tagging which you can use to describe your pictures. This can also help during searches, when tags are used to determine the relevance of search results.
This search functionality can be used to yield some truly amazing photos. This functionality is useful for everyone alike, but more so for bloggers. However, Flickr’s search tool is not as fast or streamlined as it could be, and is often found wanting in those departments.

CompFight Search page
CompFight is a handy website that utilizes the Flickr API to pull up search results. You can opt for only CC-licensed images and safe images. The results are loaded using AJAX, which means that there is no new page load for searching. Think of it as Google Reader for images.
The images load in an uninterrupted manner, seemingly floating into view. The only eyesore is the rather minimalist design of the page initially. Initially, because once the images load up, this plain design is a real boon as it helps users focus on the images alone.

@Nirmal: Do use Flickr, atleast for your pillar posts. They can provide visual relief too.
@Jawwad: Thanks, and I do agree that it is no-frills and gets the job done very well. In spite of having heavy AJAX scripts, it loads quickly because of lightweight design.
This is brilliant no frill design front end to flickr. As a result it is pretty fast to load images. Good find!
Useful for searching CC-licensed images, but I don’t use Flickr freqently.
Thanks for the share.
Very Cool Interface.
@TonNet: I’ll check it out, and who knows, maybe post a review
cool..
Interesting but I also like and use: Tag Browser.
