More than a week after Meer dan een week na reporting about Google Analytics' redesign berichtgeving over herontwerp van Google Analytics , my Analytics account has finally switched over. Heeft mijn Analytics-account definitief overgeschakeld. Joy at last! Joy at last!
I had mentioned in that post that, if all the hype surrounding the redesign were to be true, Google Analytics would finally be a stand-out in the crowd of site statistics services. Ik had genoemd in die post dat, indien alle hype rondom de herinrichting waren waar zijn, zou Google Analytics eindelijk een stand-out in de menigte van website statistieken diensten.
The newly designed interface was available to users who signed up after it was unveiled. De nieuw ontworpen interface is beschikbaar voor gebruikers die aangemeld nadat het werd onthuld. Loyal customers(that's you and me) had to wait for some time. Trouwe klanten (dat ben jij en ik) moest wachten voor bepaalde tijd.
Today, when I logged onto the account, I was presented with this screen: Vandaag, toen ik ingelogd op de rekening, ik werd gepresenteerd met dit scherm:
Instead of the regular “View Reports” link on the panel, I found a “View Reports Beta” link. In plaats van de reguliere "Rapporten" link op het paneel, vond ik een "Rapporten Beta" link.
After putting the new interface through its paces, I can say that it is much better than the previous design. Na invoering van de nieuwe interface via haar stappen, kan ik zeggen dat het veel beter is dan het vorige ontwerp. There are no 4-box maps, with nothing but graphics, like the previous design. Er zijn geen 4-box kaarten, met niets dan graphics, net als de vorige ontwerp.
The new design sports widgets, which can be dragged around and repositioned. Het nieuwe ontwerp sporten widgets, die kunnen worden gesleept rond en verplaatst. Also, most of the graphs are accompanied by textual information, in case you don't “get it”. Ook de meeste van de grafieken vergezeld gaan van tekstuele informatie, voor het geval je niet "get it".
That, to me, is the killer. Dat, voor mij is de moordenaar. The old style of all-graphics, web 2.0 site just didn't cut it. De oude stijl van al-graphics, web 2.0-site gewoon niet knippen. Now, thanks to a more usable design, Google Analytics is better and badder than ever. Nu, dankzij een meer bruikbare ontwerp, is Google Analytics beter en slechter dan ooit. Time for me to ditch all other services Tijd voor mij om greppel alle andere diensten
