Validate Windows XP license
Before applying this hack, you need to check that you are not using a legal copy (in which case you do not need this hack). Using Internet Explorer, visit Windows Validation page. It will ask you to install an ActiveX component – click the yellow bar on top and accept it. If your copy of Windows is not legal, proceed to the hack below.
Make Windows XP license geniune
Download the registry hack file (link removed due to Microsoft’s complaint). Once downloaded, double-click the file and click yes when a confirmation box comes up.
If you go to the Windows Validation page again, you will find that your XP license is detected as geniune.
