Howdy! It appears that you have come to this blog for the first time. In order to receive more useful posts like this, you can subscribe to RSS feed or receive latest articles to your email inbox. Thanks for visiting this blog, and have a good day.

I’ve decided to make linklove a regular feature here, with all linklove posts going live on Sundays. Since the eastern time is quite early, you might see it on Saturday in the west (Europe/America). I wish there were a plugin to detect IP address and serve the posts according to local time ;)

Here is a list of posts for weekend reading:

  1. Mani tells us how to SEO proof your blog, in a guest-post at Life Rocks.
  2. Mayank tells us about Defensio’s launch. Akistmet’s got competition, and Defensio is the new boy in anti-spam plugins.
  3. Shankar gives his thoughts on GMail’s new version. I personally love the old interface, which was light and quick-loading (once it loads, that is).
  4. Small Potato, over at WPdesigner, launches Mutual Marketplace, a place for designers to get it on with their work. He is sick of all other marketplaces, notably the one by Matt Mullenweg himself.
  5. Mani tells us about 10 Windows Live writer plugins. I’m a fan of WLW too, mainly because of the scope for hacks and the tagging support in WP. Microsoft has atleast one product that’s praised widely!
  6. Steven, over at DailyBlogTips examines the The pros and cons of niche blogging. I’ve personally made the decision to start a niche blog on Apple, since this blog cannot be a jack of all trades.
  7. Karthik evaluates 12 desktop Wordpress editors. I prefer Live Writer and Blogdesk myslef. Which is your favourite?
  8. Do not forget to give me your views on my new theme upgrade to this blog.

If you have written a link-worthy post, do drop a comment on this post to let me know, so that I may include them next week. Hope you enjoy reading these posts, and have a great weekend!

Hey, this is Beth and I just wanted to thank you for your help with the sideblog code. Unfortunately, I got to your comment a little late, after I decided on an asides plugin, but I will definitely save it for future reference. Thanks again for your help though!

@Daniel, Karthik, Shankar: Welcome. Matter of fact, Shankar himself told I should start some link love. Maybe it works ;)
@Karthik: I have some irritating IE6 bugs, and may need some help in that. However, it works flawlessly on Firefox and Opera, and since my readers are mostly using those browsers, I will probably change to it soon.

@Beth: No problem, always willing to help :D I’d recommend Problogdesign’s method, because an extra plugin can put unnecessary load on your server, and may affect your optimzation.
