Just a quick note to tell you all that I've finally managed to get my modem to work in Ubuntu Hardy Heron, and I'm alive and kicking on Linux now. I've wanted to use Linux for a long time now, but hesitated because my modem didn't work. Eu queria usar Linux por muito tempo agora, mas hesitou porque meu modem não funcionou. same happened with me…when i was not able to switch to linux just because my utstar adsl modem does not work with linux…but now i have a netgear adsl modem…will be soon having linux on my machine mesmo aconteceu comigo ... quando eu não era capaz de mudar para o Linux, apenas porque o meu modem adsl utstar não funciona com o linux ... mas agora eu tenho um modem adsl netgear ... será em breve ter o Linux em minha máquina

I've been contemplating dual booting with Ubuntu since sometime now but haven't been able to do it for the fact that I'm tied up with many things and ofcourse, procrastination. But I will eventually install Ubuntu and hence I'll bookmark all your linux related posts which could come as a handy reference in future. I too had installed Ubuntu few days back and also managed to configure TATA indicom on it. Eu também tinha instalado Ubuntu poucos dias para trás e também conseguiu configurar Tata Indicom sobre ele. Its really cool working on it, but the support for applications need to be more, only then it can become more popular. after breaking my head for configuring the display on Ubuntu Hardy, and multiple re-installation I came back to Windows again. depois de quebrar a cabeça para configurar a tela no Ubuntu Hardy, e de múltiplos instalação eu voltei para o Windows novamente.
