I would say yes. Its their search engine and Then PR for a reason. And since Pr does have a major role, They will not like it to be gamed.

@Madhur: The reason why Google’s penalizing link sellers is because Google is not yet able to detect the link buyers properly. I wish they penalized link buyers and leave sellers alone – that would boost my income a bit

I think Google should be penalizing people who are buying text links and not people selling it.

@Ashwini: You sure can, Ashwini. However, keep in mind that labnol’s route is successful coz he gets 1 million+ PVs per month. It is hard to recreate such success. As for PR, it is useless now – if you want to keep PR, you should not sell links. If you do sell links, you have no PR and links are not sold further. Its a bit like the chicken-and-egg story

I want to earn bucks…. but at the same time love my PR also….. n since its quite impossible for me to b like John Chow… I believe I can follow route of labnol
