GIMP is the undisputed king of image editing in Linux platforms, and is next only to Photoshop in popularity in Windows and Mac platforms. With a large community of developers and an even larger pool of users, it is no surprise that GIMP is very popular. Much like Firefox, GIMP's strength lies in its plugins, which are developed by the open-source toting community. There is no way to stop it in Firefox besides killing the process, as it will continually pop up Ok/Cancel messages. I'm missing some of my favourite plugins. I'm chýbajú niektoré z mojich obľúbených pluginov. Eg greycstoration which is wonderful for denoising images, much better than DeNoise. Napr greycstoration čo je skvelé pre denoising obrázky, oveľa lepšie ako DeNoise.
Or liquidrescale which allows you to change a picture's aspect ratio without deforming or cropping it. Alebo liquidrescale, ktorá vám umožňuje zmeniť obrázok na pomer strán bez oreze alebo deformujúce to.

What hell is this page supposed to be? Čo to je táto stránka má byť? You supposedly are listing top 40 plug-ins for Gimp but have no example images for illustration purposes? Tie sú vraj výpis top 40 plug-inov pre Gimp, ale nemajú napríklad obrázky pre ilustračné účely? Are you kidding me? Robíš si srandu?
Do you even use Gimp? Myslíte si dokonca používať Gimp? I bet you only wanted to put up a page that got some good number “hits” and “diggs” … waste of time. Stavím sa, len chceli, aby sa na stránku, ktorá má niektoré dobré číslo "hity" a "diggs" ... strata času.
Do they work with Gimpshop? Myslíte si prácu s Gimpshop?
The first one on the list fails with the most recent version. Prvý z nich na zozname zlyhá s najnovšou verziou. :/ : /
@nicolaz: They have been tested with GIMP, and you might be able to get them working with GIMPshop, since the core is similar. @ Nicolaz: Boli testované s Gimp, a mali by ste byť schopní sa s nimi pracuje GIMPshop, pretože jadro je podobná.
@Andrew: Most plugins will work, and the few that do not work will be fixed by the authors soon (unless they're out of the plugin business and do not update). @ Andrew: Väčšina pluginov bude pracovať, a niekoľko málo, ktoré nebudú fungovať bude stanovená autori skoro (ak nie ste z plugin podnikanie a nezaktualizujete). i've been looking for more different logo styles, i just found this resource, i didn't realise gimp was so huge until today, i've been struggling with photofiltre for the past 3 years. Bol som hľadal viac rôznych logo štýlov, som našiel tento zdroj sa mi nepodarilo realizovať gimp bol tak obrovský, až dnes som sa čelíme PhotoFiltre za posledné 3 roky.
great to find info like this, i do all my design work in gimp, some of the plugins are 10+ years old but still useful.I too shifted from photoshop to gimp. skvelé nájsť informácie, ako je táto, aj do všetkých mojich projekčných prác v GIMPu, niektoré z pluginov sú 10 + rokov, ale stále príliš useful.I presunul z Photoshop pre gimp.
