Yahoo Small Business has been offering one-year registration of a domain for just $1.99 (and no extra hidden costs). The deal is applicable for .com, .net, .org, .info, .us, and .biz extensions. So, if you have been taken aback by the price of a domain, you can get the first year of your domain at a very cheap rate.
The promotion requires that you have not had a Yahoo small business account on your Yahoo login before. However, if you have a domain name on your Yahoo account, here is the workaround: simply sign up for another free yahoo ID to take advantage of the deal.
Yahoo’s actual yearly renewal fee for domains only accounts is $34.95. If you are keeping the account for the domain alone, it would be a good idea to transfer the domain to another registrar towards the end of the first year and cancel the Yahoo account.
