About Urumi
Urumi is a multi-lingual, big-budget, multi-starrer Malayalam film. The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Prabhu Deva, Genelia D’Souza and guest roles by Vidya Balan and Tabu. Made at an estimated cost of Rs 20 crores, the Urumi is the second-most expensive film in Malayalam. It is produced jointly by Santhosh Sivan, also its director, and Prithviraj.
The film is about a boy who plots to kill Vasco De Gama. Prithviraj portrays the central character, and Genelia plays the role of a Portugese princess. The shooting of the film was wrapped up in late October. Urumi is expected to be released in mid 2011.
