Archiving and extracting files can be done in Windows XP and upwards with the help of built-in tools. Archivering en uitpakken van bestanden kan worden gedaan in Windows XP en naar boven met behulp van de ingebouwde tools. However, as with many other things, built-in utilities tend to have very little tweakable options and power features. Echter, zoals met veel andere dingen, ingebouwde hulpprogramma's hebben meestal weinig tweakable opties en macht functies. For anyone that desires better features, the built-in archival utility is not the right option. IZArc is a freeware archival application for Windows. IZArc is een freeware toepassing voor Windows archiefstukken. It has all the normal features expected from an archival application: zip and unzip archives, create self-extracting archives, create normal archives from self-extracting archives, encrypt/decrypt archives. However, it also has other 'extra' features, like extracting individual files from a ISO file (CD image), repair archives, create multi-part archives and merge multi-part archives into one. As you can see from the screenshot below, the window is simple and uncomplicated. Zoals u kunt zien op de screenshot hieronder, wordt het venster eenvoudig en ongecompliceerd. Does this work with RAR files? Is dit werken met RAR bestanden?

@Haris: It works with RAR and lots of other file types that are not supported by other apps. Haris @: Het werkt met RAR en vele andere bestandstypen die niet worden ondersteund door andere apps. In IZArc, go to options > configuration > file associations to set preferences. In IZArc, ga naar opties> configuratie> verenigingen bestand om voorkeuren in te stellen.
Yeah I had it in Windows….great archiving tool! Ja, ik had het in Windows .... Geweldige archivering tool! I liked the egg icons in AlZip but IZArc is way better. Ik vond het ei pictogrammen in ALZip maar IZArc is veel beter.

IZArc works with 50+ formats, including .rar of course. IZArc werkt met 50 + formaten, waaronder. Rar natuurlijk.
This is really great…does anyone know if there is a portable app that does something similar to this? Dit is echt geweldig ... Weet iemand of er is een draagbare app die iets als dit doet? I know there is 7-zip for portable apps, but it doesn't handle this many formats I think. Ik weet dat er 7-zip voor draagbare toepassingen, maar het doet niet mee omgaan vele formaten, denk ik.
It does not extract anything. Het is niet extract niets. It creates the folder, but it is blank. Het creëert de map, maar het is leeg. I am on win 64. Ik ben op win 64. Thanks Bedankt
