Megavideo is yet another video sharing website that wants to beat YouTube and become the no.1 in web video websites. MegaVideo has a decent videos library – and the design also looks good. Megavideo is owned and operated by the folks behind Megaupload, a file upload service. You can also earn money when you upload videos – through a Rewards Program. There is no limit on the play time of the video, which is another useful feature.

Premium members can download the full videos directly, but a membership costs $10 per month. However, in this article, we share two methods to download Megavideo videos directly to your computer – one is a website, and another is a Firefox extension, so this works across Windows, Mac and Linux.
Method #1: Clipnabber
Clipnabber can nab download videos from most video websites like YouTube, Dailymotion, and even Megavideo.

- Copy the URL of the webpage on which the video is located.
- Visit Clipnabber and paste the URL into the “Paste URL” field (seen in image above). Hit “Nab it”.
- A download link will soon appear, which you can click to start downloading the video.
As with most other web video websites, Megavideo videos are in .FLV or flash video format. You can use VLC Player to view FLV files.
Method #2: Download Helper
You can also use a Firefox extension called Download Helper.
- Install Download Helper.
- Press and hold Control and select the file to be downloaded (which will be shown as an FLV file). Get the URL and use it in a download manager so that your download will not be lost due to interruptions.
