RSS feeds are a 'tech' way to track sites. RSS-feeds zijn manier een 'tech' naar sites bijhouden. With the increase in prominence of RSS feeds, the number of feed readers(aggregators)have also increased. Met de toename van de bekendheid van RSS-feeds, het aantal feedreaders (aggregators) zijn ook toegenomen. You can find online readers like Google Reader and Bloglines and desktop readers like RSSOwl and FeedDemon, the sheer number of choices can intimidate you. I have moved back and forth between GreatNews, Google Reader, Feed Reader and FeedDemon, until finally deciding on FeedDemon. - Online readers offer the convenience of seamless feed reading. Online lezers bieden het gemak van naadloze feed lezen. You can read it on your desktop, laptop or cell phone/PDA (all three in my case), without any problems. FeedDemon solves all the above problems. FeedDemon lost al deze problemen. It can synchronize with Newsgator Online, from where you can read your feeds on another computer(this is not a good idea, as Newsgator Online is not as good as Google Reader). Interface Interface
FeedDemon sports a clean 2 panel interface, with several useful functions and shortcuts. FeedDemon sport een schone 2-panel interface, met verschillende handige functies en sneltoetsen. Apart from the useful synchronization functionality, it supports a 'My Clippings' feature that can be used to mark your favourite feed items. Naast de nuttige synchronisatie functionaliteit, ondersteunt het een functie 'My Clippings' dat kan worden gebruikt om uw favoriete voerpunten merk.
Unlike many other desktop feed readers, FeedDemon does not go with the dull grey default color-scheme alone. In tegenstelling tot veel andere lezers desktop diervoeders, FeedDemon gaat niet verder met de saaie grijze standaard kleur-regeling alleen. In Tools > Options > Appearance (tab), you can change the skin to a more cheerful 'Office 11′ that imitates the interface of MS Office, and also changes to blue/green/silver variant depending upon which color-scheme you have selected in Start > Control Panel > Display > Appearance (tab). In Extra> Opties> Voorkomen (tab), kunt u de huid tot een meer vrolijke 'Office 11' dat de interface van MS Office imiteert, en ook veranderingen in blauw / groen / zilver variant, afhankelijk van welke kleur-regeling die u hebt geselecteerd Start> Configuratiescherm> Beeldscherm> Vormgeving (tab). I would recommend the blue variant any day. Ik zou aanraden de blauwe variant elke dag.
Ease of Use Gebruiksgemak
FeedDemon is very easy to start using. FeedDemon is heel gemakkelijk te gaan gebruiken. There are proper text/icons for each function, and the menus are properly classified. Er zijn goede tekst / iconen voor elke functie, en de menu's zijn goed ingedeeld. To get started, go to File > Import Feeds if you have been using another reader. Om te beginnen, ga naar Bestand> Importeren-feeds als u een andere lezer is gebruikt. Then go to Tools> Options to tweak various preferences. Ga dan naar Extra> Opties om tweak verschillende voorkeuren.
Problems Problemen
The only problem that I have noticed until now is that FeedDemon hangs for a few seconds if you synchronize feeds. Het enige probleem dat ik heb gemerkt tot nu toe is dat FeedDemon hangt voor een paar seconden als u synchroniseert feeds. Adding new feeds may also cause this, as they get synchronized too. Het toevoegen van nieuwe feeds kan ook dit, zoals ze te krijgen gesynchroniseerd. But I believe that it is a small price to pay for the wonderful feature that synchronization is. Maar ik denk dat het een kleine prijs om te betalen voor de geweldige eigenschap dat synchronisatie wordt.
