Adobe Flash Player is a popular multimedia content delivery system. Popular websites like YouTube use it for video delivery, while many websites use it for design and interactions.

Most users never need to remove Adobe Flash Player. However, if you are one of those who need to, here is a quick tutorial on how to remove Adobe Flash Player. The methods vary for browsers, as Flash installs a browser plugin.

Remove Adobe Flash Player

Download the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller for Windows | Mac OS X

After saving the file, take care to quit all applications (especially browsers like Firefox and Internet Explorer, IM software like Yahoo / MSN / AOL). If you leave any applications open, Flash uninstaller may prompt you to quit them, so it is better to do so first.

Double-click to run the uninstaller. The uninstaller will work and remove Adobe Flash Player.
Windows users will need to restart it to remove the Flash plugin from Internet Explorer.

Disable Adobe Flash Player

Instead of uninstalling Flash player, you may want to disable the plugin temporarily.

For Firefox, you can use the popular Flashblock addon.

For Internet Explorer, disable Flash Player by unregistering the Adobe Flash Player Active X component. Once disabled Adobe Flash Player will no longer function.

    Hi, I do need Flash from time to time – once or twice a day – mostly to do some system checking – and that it; but allowing this pig to fuck my mind with stupid marketing or whores dancing on my screent is too much to me; What I need is to disable it while I don’t neeed and be free from being driven crazy by marketing pigs; specially AT&T mafia;
    I don’t need to see any internet sensation or 1000 of “films” while I don’t need them at all; All I need is to check my E-mail, never had and never will do Messenger crap;
    This so called “Face” or “Books” or blogs, or 1000 others are not to me; All I need is to do my work on computer and occasional E-mail checking – without any crap on it; Rich from Europe ( still Normal in crazy USA today ) … Same is with Cell Tel; they do it for kids; my fingers are too big to punch the number on this modern garbage; and 30% people are bigger than me; Bye – have fun in Unemployment Labor Day in Gestapo Economy System created by republicans; so we Democrats has to repair this garbage and restore Normal Life again;

    Interesting.

    Times are a changing.

    I like XP but it can be tough to fix sometimes. (But it is still easier for me to understand than NT!)

    Thanks for posting.
