Having provided code to remove DiggBar, and then come up with an improvised version, it occurred to me naturally that turning it into a WordPress plugin would make sense.
DiggBar Remover is a tiny WordPress plugin that removes DiggBar the smart way – by detecting the visitor’s referral information. Only if the visitor has DiggBar, he is redirected to the actual post, otherwise no code is served. This means that DiggBar Remover is faster than any other WordPress plugin that does the same job, and is even faster than adding pure JavaScript to the header.php file (that many seem to do).
Head over to the plugin homepage to download it.
If you liked this plugin, please spend a minute to tweet it (use the plugin page URL), link to it in a blog post and tell your blogging friends about it.
