Free stuff, be it software, icons and graphics, music or videos, go viral easily. Bezplatne veci, či už je to software, ikon a grafiky, hudby alebo videa, vírusovej ísť ľahko. We saw free music (Nine Inch Rails) and free movies (Steal this Film) going viral. Videli sme Free Music (Deväť Inch Rails) a filmy zdarma (Ukradni tento film) prebiehajúce vírusovej. This is because no one can truly say no to free stuff – they're so attractive. Je to preto, že nikto nemôže naozaj povedať, no to zdarma veci - sú tak atraktívne.
A select few artists have released their albums for free online, and they have been appreciated and welcomed by listeners. Going by this trend, Cold Electric has launched their debut music album (13 tracks) on Demonoid and Mininova, amongst other torrent sites. The business model of Cold Electric is quite interesting – release free albums to go viral online, and utilize that popularity to land opportunities for live performances. We are seeing an increasing number of new bands releasing their music for free (Nine Inch Nails, among others).
