Holi(also spelled holli) is a spring festival observed in North India and some parts of Nepal. Affectionately called Festival of Colours, because of the role of colored liquids/powders in the playful celebration of the festival. In 2008, Holi occurs on March 22 in 2008.

Some background information about Holi

There are two days of celebration. On the first day, bonfires are lit to signify burning the Holika evil demoness and Hiranyakashipu’s sister. On the second day, known as Dhulhendi, people spend the day throwing coloured powder and water at each other.

The last few months have seen this blog grow well and acquire more readers, subscribers and page views. In doing so, the audience has become more diverse.

Forbes Magazine releases an annual list of the world’s wealthiest men. They released the list for the year 2008, on March 5, 2008.

Forbes is an American national business magazine. The net wealth of each person is not only the cash and solid assets, but instead an estimated measure (U.S dollars) , based on the stock prices of the person’s company and exchange rates on 11 February 2008.

It is time for another site update - we have a couple of new features now. I have always wanted to have some facility to point you, my readers, to interesting stuff that I come across every day. There are many ways to share links, and I evaluated each of them.

Technology is a fascinating world for many, bewildering for some, and frightening for some. I remember my first step into this wild world back in 1999, as a 7-year old computer-toting kid, which amazed most people (though it is commonplace now). I progressed from learning new things by messing up with my father’s and grandfather’s desktops to registry hacking and tech blogging.
