BlogCreativity.com: My new blog about blogging is live

I have been writing here at TechZilo for over a year, and other blogs (before it). TechZilo was initially a blog about technology, but oriented towards bloggers. I realized that this was a big mistake because the readership was limited. So, I decided to shift niche slightly and focus on internet and computer tips, and move away from blogging tips.

Let’s socialize: Link up with me on social networking/media sites

Social media and networking sites have been the rage for some time now. I have generally been slow to adopt social media (and I repent it now). I am present but was until recently inactive on Digg, Del.icio.us, Twitter, Facebook, Orkut etc.

I now believe that social networking is worth it, and have been active on Twitter, Stumble Upon and Digg. I’m looking forward to expanding my network of friends, especially since I have a long vacation and no studies ahead for the next few months.

How to find CBSE Board exam results?

The CBSE board exams for 10th standard for the academic year 2007-2008 were held more than a month back, and students are eagerly awaiting the results. Websites which publish results are usually rare, and none of the websites publish results earlier than others.

Virender Sehwag scores fastest test century [cricket]

virender-sehwag-test I’m a self-confessed cricket hater now (and was a fan until 2 years back), but occasionally, a cricket news catches my fancy. Sensational news is note-worthy, even if it is from the sport that you might hate. This time, it is a cracking triple century by Virender Sehwag in the ongoing Ind vs SA (India-South Africa) Test series.

For those who do not know what cricket is, read up Wikipedia entry on cricket. It is not widely popular outside the Indian subcontinent and Australia.

Free online holi greetings and holi wallpapers

Holi(also spelled holli) is a spring festival observed in North India and some parts of Nepal. Affectionately called Festival of Colours, because of the role of colored liquids/powders in the playful celebration of the festival. In 2008, Holi occurs on March 22 in 2008.

Some background information about Holi

There are two days of celebration. On the first day, bonfires are lit to signify burning the Holika evil demoness and Hiranyakashipu’s sister. On the second day, known as Dhulhendi, people spend the day throwing coloured powder and water at each other.
