Has Akismet recovered from its drop in accuracy? (#)
Back in April, I noted Akismet for its horrible drop in accuracy. I used Defensio for a month without any problems, moving back to Akismet only when Defensio servers were down and the plugin didn’t work.
However, I have been impressed Akismet’s recovery - very rarely (perhaps once a week) do I see spam comments getting through. Perhaps Auttomatic has got their lazy backs behind and worked on getting Akismet upto speed.
If you still have problems with Akismet, I would recommend Defensio any day. Perhaps, the only reason I use Akismet is because it has more resources (like servers) at its disposal, so the chances of Akismet going down is far less than that of Defensio going down.
