Mail Browser Backup is a free, open-source software that can backup most of the popular browsers and email applications. This can be helpful to secure against system crash/data loss. It would be also be helpful when you reinstall Windows (and anyone who knows how to reinstall will do so every year or so) – as you do not have to reconfigure everything and import data.
MailBrowserBackup currently supports Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird, Google Chrome, SRWare Iron and FileZilla (FTP Client). Support for Internet Explorer, Windows Mail, IncrediMail, Opera Browser, Apple Safari and eMule is planned for future release.
MailBrowserBackup backs up data to MBB files. You can then keep these files in an online backup service or into external backup drives for added safety.
It is written in C#, hence it will work on Linux in future versions. It currently supports Windows XP and Windows Vista, and requires .NET Framework 2.0 or above. It is a portable application – simply hit the download link below, unzip and use.
